| Hmm, well I'm at school and its been an interesting year so far and all and its hard to think that I've been here for a little over a month now and I'll be having finals in less than a month and so much has happened in that time period too much probably to post here but don't worry stuff is happening to me and probably to you and really everywhere. and thats that. | | |

And I love camp! We had poached salmon tonight for
dinner--salmon! At camp! What other camp gets to have
salmon for dinner? And we have delicious homemade bread at every
meal. And homemade dessert at every meal. I better watch
out... Except, they keep us so busy and so active all the time, that
hopefully I will just sweat it all off! Please write to me and I
promise I will write and send love back in your direction:

| I really can't believe I'm not going to see any of y'all until Thanksgiving break now. Weeeeeird. I know this summer is going to be fun and all, but I am kinda nervous...about meeting all new people and being outdoors and I never really was an outdoors girl, you know. What if a bear eats me or the little girls eat me and I never got very far in girl scouts so I wouldn't know how to start a fire with sticks and stones and I probably will break my bones, knowing how accident-prone I have become. Damn. Maybe camping isn't such a good idea after all...
But here I go! | | |
| Being home is quickly losing its appeal. For instance, every morning beginning around 7:30 AM, a parade of my various family members starts marching through my bedroom. Yes, I know I live in the basement and to get to the utility room with the fridge you have to go through my room, but come on. How many times do you have to get more orange juice or a new box of cereal in one morning. And what are the odds of so many little girl fights breaking out in my room when we have this whole big house for that? Yuck. I'm trying to enjoy this brief time I have at home before I leave for camp, but its starting to wear on me.
More pleasantly, the knitting classes that I am teaching are going pretty well. Last nights was somewhat crazy because everyone was just learning and really needed tons of attention, but each next day should get easier and easier.
Posting right now was a bad idea. I'm tired and I'm grumpy and I have a headache. I'm sorry. | | |
| Oh man oh man, I am very sorry I have neglected my xanga so horribly. Its probably not going to get any better, though, because on Friday I am heading off to North Carolina for nine weeks to work as a camp counselor. I have never been to camp before, so I figured I better get this classic childhood experience in before I am too much of an adult! Because I leave on friday, I don't get much of a summer at home, huh? But I do want to see y'all before I leave, so please please give me a call! I am teaching a knitting class Mon-Thurs of this week (from 2-3:30 and 8-9:30), but other than that I am pretty much free. I hope everyone is having a great summer!
And I leave you with this thought from my 4-year old sister, Magdalene:
"Being barefoot is a magical moment"
Try it--it really is! | | |
